I am on sabbitical from the Department of Archaeology and Social Anthropology at the University of Tromsö, An important reason for being at IHS is its strength in gender/feminist studies in archaeology. While here I will be working on several projects, including South African rock art and hunter-gatherer-fisher societies in the northernmost -Arctic- area in Europe. In additon I will be working on editing a volume on earlier excavations of Mesolithic and Early Metal Period sites in the area of Onega Lake in Russia.
